šŸ’• Our February book picks are here

This February, weā€™re coming in hot with our he falls first theme, and we have a feeling these picks just might steal your heart, too.

The fantasy romance book is a delightfully entertaining ride, complete with an immersive world, daring adventure, gods, demons, and an inner monologue that had us laughing out loud. Plus it stacks all the spiceā€¦ (Literally, the main character is a spice-seller named Cinnamon who gets into someĀ scorching situations). But wait, thereā€™s more! The books in our February fantasy romance boxes will include author-signed bookplates, and the curated playlist will include special author-selected tracks.

The contemporary romance book will have you grinning uncontrollably and screaming ā€œgo for it!ā€ at this potential grumpy / sunshine love match. This read packs a punch (again, literally, the male main character was a boxer) both emotionally and hilariously. It also includes, hands and mics down, the most memorable karaoke scene weā€™ve read in a book thus far.

Letā€™s have a look at these fellas who could not even begin to hide the hearts in their eyes, shall we?

Our February Fantasy Romance pick:

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a DemonĀ byĀ Kimberly Lemming

Book cover

All I wanted to do was live my life in peace. Maybe get a cat, expand my spice farm.

Really anything that doesn't involve going on a quest where an orc might rip my face off. But they say the Goddess has favourites. If so, I'm clearly not one of them.

After saving the demon Fallon in a wine-drunk stupor, all he wanted to do was kill an evil witch enslaving his people.

I mean, I get it, don't get me wrong. But he's dragging me along for the ride, and I'm kind of peeved about it. On the bright side, he keeps burning off his shirt.

You can expect:

  • epic quest / cozy vibes
  • "So desperate for me."
  • monster rom-com

Content warnings:

As they connect and get to know each other, Gwen canā€™t help but notice when the perfect-on-paper boyfriend she has in mind starts to take an unexpected shape. Will she stick to the dating plan outlined by the professionals? Or admit when it comes to love, thereā€™s no right way to fall.
