Instructions: 

Place the wooden square on a strong flat surface.

Set the paper heart in the center of your wooden square.

Gently tap in one nail in each of the holes punched out of the heart (if you don’t have a hammer, you can use any heavy/durable item).

Rip/remove the paper so you are left with just the nails in the shape of a heart.

Take one skein of the black string and tie one end in a knot to any one of the nails.

Weave the string back and forth across the heart to different nails at random until you reach the near end of the string. Make sure you use each nail a few times so your heart is mostly filled in.

Tie the end of the string to one of the nails to keep the weaving in place.

You can prop up the heart on a shelf by leaning it against something, or you can take two additional nails and tap them into the bottom of the wood on the opposite side of the heart (the back) to keep it upright.

We’ve included an extra spool of string and a few extra nails just in case you need them.
