Nothing like a little revenge with our romance
Okay so maybe a little revenge would be the understatement of the year, since the payback in these (pretty popular!) books has never been this sweet.
The wildly captivating fantasy romance book has a truly driven-by-vengeance main character who will stop at nothing to avenge those she loves, all the while boasting some of the sharpest banter and an even more passionate internal monologue. With dragons and magic (including a top tier one horse dragon moment and the sweetest inanimate object turned beloved pet), this high stakes read will have you falling not only for the angsty enemy king but also for this world as a whole (and every one of its moons).
The hilarious and heartfelt contemporary romance book takes these main characters from brokenhearted roommates (their exes dumped them to get together (!!!)) to fake dating (aka revenge in this instance) to best friends (with benefits) to oh so much more. With truly swoon-worthy moments, an extremely tactile MMC (heâs seriously always touching her), and a cast of supporting characters thatâll have you angling for an invite to their next get together, this read is truly the epitome of turning lemons into the sweetest lavender lemonade. PS. While most of our book boxes contain a paperback book, we couldn't resist doing a hardback so we could feature this book!
Are you ready for it? (The book picks, that issssđ)
Our September Fantasy Romance pick:

The Creators did not expect their beloved dragons to sail skyward upon their end. To curl into balls just beyond gravityâs grip, littering the sky with tombstones. With moons.

Our September Contemporary Romance pick:
Funny Story by Emily Henry
Daphne always loved the way her fiancĂ© Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling itâŠright up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra.
Â
Which is how Daphne begins her new story: Stranded in beautiful Waning Bay, Michigan, without friends or family but with a dream job as a childrenâs librarian (that barely pays the bills), and proposing to be roommates with the only person who could possibly understand her predicament: Petraâs ex, Miles Nowak.
Â
Scruffy and chaoticâwith a penchant for taking solace in the sounds of heart break love balladsâMiles is exactly the opposite of practical, buttoned up Daphne, whose coworkers know so little about her they have a running bet that sheâs either FBI or in witness protection. The roommates mainly avoid one another, until one day, while drowning their sorrows, they form a tenuous friendship and a plan. If said plan also involves posting deliberately misleading photos of their summer adventures together, well, who could blame them?
Â
But itâs all just for show, of course, because thereâs no way Daphne would actually start her new chapter by falling in love with her ex-fiancĂ©âs new fiancĂ©eâs exâŠright?
