Try as we must (and oh weâre going to try), whatever we write here couldnât possibly do these two incredible book picks justice. They are just. that. good. (and evil? After all, a little bit of both makes up our morally gray theme!)
The epic romantasy read is a banter-filled hate-to-love journey for a fierce FMC and moody MMC (you could seriously cut the tension with a sword). Armed with strange, hidden powers and a prowess for survival, she unknowingly opens a gateway, falling right into an epic conflict across realms. The last thing she should do is bind herself to a mysterious Fae warrior who has a secret agenda of his own (and a snarky comment to make around every corner). The stakes? Theyâve never been higher. Special box: The books in our January Fantasy Romance Book Box will come with signed bookplates and the playlist will include author-selected songs! đĄïžđ©¶đ
The contemporary romance immediately made our dark romance hall of fame! This read has heat blooming between the bad boy motorcycle club president (out-running his demons one rumble & ride at a time) and the good girl who definitely doesn't belong in his world (or in his heart). So why is he so dead set on letting her in? With a pulse that skyrockets in his presence, sheâs landed the nickname hummingbird, but she no longer wants to be so delicate. Caught in between his dark desire to devour her and his possessive need to keep her safe, their love balances on the finest (and sharpest) of blades. Special box: The books in our January Contemporary Romance Book Box will come with signed bookplates and the playlist will include author-playlist songs! đșđïžđ€
We literally canât wait a second longer to officially announce these picksâŠand their morally gray main characters!

Do not touch the sword. Do not turn the key. Do not open the gate.
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses, or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queenâs reservoirs for as long as she can remember. In the land of the unforgiving desert, there isnât much a girl wouldnât do for a glass of water. But sooner or later, every secret comes out.
When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmaresâŠbut it turns out theyâre real, and Saeris has landed right in the middle of a centuries-long conflict that might just get her killed.
The first of her kind to tread the frozen mountains of Yvelia in over a thousand years, Saeris mistakenly binds herself to Kingfisher, a handsome Fae warrior, who has secrets and nefarious agendas of his own. He will use her Alchemistâs magic to protect his people, no matter what it costs him⊠or her. Death has a name. It is Kingfisher of the Ajun Gate. His past is murky. His attitude stinks. As President of the Hounds of Hell Motorcycle Club, my life has been infused with darkness and trauma since the day I was born. Chaos is my birthright. I crave it to feel stable. Secure. Whole.
The only people I care about are the ones who don my cut. Women are just a tool. Never to covet, only to use. Each face blending into the next. The formula I live by is simple. Death is always at my door. I am a soldier of bedlam.
Until a little hummingbird flies into my crosshairs, and Iâm forced to feel something I havenât felt for as long as I can remember⊠alive.
